Future Mortgage Leaders of Colorado Program
The Future Mortgage Leaders of Colorado program is committed to identifying, cultivating and educating the next generation of mortgage leaders. Through an annual curriculum, the program delivers a comprehensive training experience for selected participants through a series of six events, plus conference calls.
Participants will be prepared for ongoing roles of service and leadership in the mortgage industry. Future Mortgage Leaders of Colorado adheres to the mission of the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association and commits to the highest ethical standards in the mortgage lending industry.
Each year, CMLA accepts applications to the Future Mortgage Leaders of Colorado program. The application deadline is the last business day of May. Candidates selected to the program will be notified in writing by July 15.

CURRICULUM
The curriculum will focus on leadership and business analysis skills. Participants can expect to:
• Gain a strategic perspective on the future of the mortgage industry as delivered by current industry leaders
• Gain insight into the various channels and components of the mortgage lending industry and how they all work together
• Learn about the legislative and regulatory processes at the state and federal level and how the real estate finance industry is affected by those efforts
• Become active in the three CMLA committees (education, representation, and networking)
• Work in teams to develop a holistic approach to community economic development and its impact on housing and commercial development
• Graduate at the CMLA Annual Convention
Members of each class will participate in a series of six courses throughout the year focusing on leadership, business analysis, and decision-making skills. Because peer involvement is a key part of the Future Leaders curriculum, participants should commit to attend each session.
