Colorado Homeownership Coalition Committee

The Colorado Homeownership Coalition Committee is a dedicated group within the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association (CMLA) that oversees and supports the activities of the Colorado Homeownership Coalition (CHC). The Coalition provides vital mortgage assistance to Colorado homeowners experiencing financial hardship, helping them sustain homeownership during times of crisis.

The committee helps guide the strategic direction of CHC programs, including the Mortgage Assistance Program (MAP), which offers temporary financial relief to prevent delinquencies in mortgage payments, HOA dues, and property taxes. Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Committee

The Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Committee serves as the policy and advocacy arm of the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association (CMLA). This committee monitors, analyzes, and responds to legislative and regulatory developments that impact the mortgage lending industry at the local, state, and federal levels.

Members work closely with CMLA’s lobbying team, policymakers, and industry partners to ensure that the voice of Colorado’s mortgage professionals is heard in legislative and regulatory discussions. The committee helps shape CMLA’s policy positions, provides expert insight on proposed laws and rules, and mobilizes member engagement when action is needed.

Through proactive advocacy and education, the Legislative and Regulatory Affairs Committee plays a vital role in protecting the interests of CMLA members and promoting a strong, sustainable housing finance system in Colorado.
